LAST SHIFT: 00:13
A downloadable game for Windows
THE TAPES REMEMBER EVERYTHING
LAST SHIFT: 00:13 is a linear first-person psychological horror game inspired by late-1990s VHS recordings, low-poly PSX visuals, abandoned broadcast stations, and stories about memories that refuse to disappear.
STORY
November 18, 1999.
After receiving a strange letter, Artyom returns to the remote house of his missing grandfather. The building appears to have been abandoned in a hurry. The lights barely work, the rooms are filled with old documents, and a warning is waiting on the answering machine:
Do not come here.
Beside an old CRT television lies a VHS tape marked with Artyom’s name.
The recording leads him to the remains of a classified broadcasting experiment known as Broadcast 13. Its signal was designed to preserve human consciousness through recorded memories. Instead, it began creating distorted copies of the dead.
The signal cannot truly bring anyone back. It reconstructs people from the memories of those who watch the tapes. When information is missing, it takes memories from other minds to complete the copy.
Every broadcast makes the reconstruction more convincing.
Every viewer loses a part of themselves.
As Artyom searches the house, studies archived evidence, and follows the signal into the forest, he begins to understand that his arrival was not an accident. Something inside the broadcast has been waiting for him—and it already knows what he remembers.
GAMEPLAY
Explore a dark and isolated environment, search for clues, restore electrical systems, and examine documents connected to the mysterious Case 00:13.
Throughout the game, you will discover and watch several story-driven VHS tapes. Each recording reveals another part of the experiment and changes your understanding of what happened at the relay station.
The tapes are fully integrated into the experience. They contain visible footage and support pausing, rewinding, and replaying previously watched sections.
Your investigation will eventually lead beyond the house, through repeating forest paths and toward the abandoned broadcasting tower where the signal is still active.
There are no weapons.
Your main tools are observation, memory, and the information you collect.

ATMOSPHERE
LAST SHIFT: 00:13 focuses on slow-building tension, isolation, and psychological unease rather than constant jumpscares.
The horror comes from incomplete information, distorted recordings, familiar places becoming unnatural, and the feeling that something is observing you through an old television screen.
The game explores themes of grief, identity, memory, and the fear of forgetting someone you loved—or discovering that your memories were never entirely your own.
